A new 24-hour maternity ward and a two days free medical outreach programme have been officially commissioned at Jaoji Hospital in Gyadi-Gyadi Arewa Ward, Tarauni Local Government Area, to improve access to quality healthcare services for residents of the community.
The member representing Tarauni Constituency in the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Kabiru Dahiru Sule (ADS), who sponsored the construction of the new maternity ward, said the project was executed in fulfillment of the campaign promises he made to the people of his constituency.
According to the Information Officer of Tarauni Local Government, Adamu Ilyasu Hotoro, ANIPR, Hon. Kabiru Dahiru Sule (ADS) disclosed that, following the commissioning of the maternity ward alongside the APC House of Representatives aspirant for Tarauni Federal Constituency, Mallam Nasir Bala Aminu Ja’oji, they have jointly sponsored a free medical outreach for residents of Gyadi-Gyadi Arewa Ward. The programme will run from Friday, 7 August, to Saturday, 8 August 2026.

He reaffirmed his commitment to implementing more developmental projects, particularly those aimed at improving the welfare of women and youths in the constituency.
Hon. Kabiru Dahiru Sule (ADS) expressed appreciation to the Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf; the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore; the Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Muhammad Sekure; the APC House of Representatives aspirant for the 2027 general election, Mallam Nasir Bala Aminu Ja’oji; and other APC leaders for their support and cooperation, which have enabled him to deliver meaningful development projects to the people.
Earlier, the APC Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, Sani Usman S.A., the APC Chairman of Kano North, and the APC State Public Relations Officer, Auwal Soja, commended Hon. Kabiru Dahiru Sule (ADS) for his dedication and commitment to providing the people with essential development projects across the constituency.
In his remarks, the APC House of Representatives aspirant for Tarauni Federal Constituency in the 2027 elections and Director-General of the Kano State City Boy Movement, Mallam Nasir Bala Aminu Ja’oji, praised Hon. Kabiru Dahiru Sule (ADS) for his outstanding efforts in delivering infrastructure and other development projects throughout Tarauni Local Government Area.
Mallam Nasir Bala Aminu Ja’oji stated that the developmental initiatives being undertaken by Hon. Kabiru Dahiru Sule (ADS) reflect the leadership style of the Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, by implementing projects that directly address the needs of the people.
He pledged his continued support to ensure more developmental projects are attracted to the constituency.
The Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Muhammad Sekure, who was represented by his Deputy, Khalid Ayuba, described the newly commissioned maternity ward as a major boost to healthcare delivery, especially for pregnant women who previously had to travel long distances to access maternal healthcare services. He also urged health workers at the facility to maintain a clean environment, uphold professionalism, and report to duty promptly in line with the standards of the Ministry of Health.
