A combine high level delegation under the entourage of the state House of Assembly Members representing Tarauni and BICHI local government areas converge at Tarauni and ja’oji primary health care facilities in the state.

The delegation comprising of two members of state house of Assembly, MNCH state co-ordinator State Ministry of Health, the state primary health care management board, civil society organization, KSCHMA, councillor health, media amongst others.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation the member representing Tarauni constituent Hon Kabiru Dahiru Sule (ADS) said that the facility tour with the various stakeholders was aim at strengthening health care service delivery in the state.
Member representing Tarauni said that Kano state records the highest number of maternal and infant mortality in the country, so there is need for the state government to intervene to crush out the high rate of death through assessing of the health facilities.
He however stated that it is not a fault finding mission rather to improve on the quality of health care services in the state.
While interfacing with facility managers On the spot check, the Co-ordinator maternal and Neonatal child Health services state ministry of Health Hajia Mansura, assured that retrieving the challenges faced by each of the Facilities will go along wall in resolving issues that are associated with Maternal and infant deaths.
The joint monitoring team inspected infrastructures under renovation and expansion both at Tarauni and ja’oji health facilities.
The initiative is part of Kano state government commitment to crush maternal and Neonatal mortality ensuring accountability and improving access to quality health care for communities across the state.
