The Honourable Commissioner, Kano State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, visited Tukuntawa Quarters in Kano Municipal to provide humanitarian support to a vulnerable widow, Malama Hauwa, and her seven children.

Malam Hauwa lost her husband a few years ago and has been struggling to provide for her family. The family has been living in a school compound, with the children spending their days at their sister’s house.

In response to their Humanitarian concerns, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, who was represented by the Honourable Commissioner of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, has promised to build a house on the land inherited by Malama Hauwa from her late husband.

The Honourable Commissioner has also been directed to secure a rented house for the family immediately to provide them with a more dignified living arrangement.

The daughter of the widow, Malama Sahura, expressed her gratitude to the Executive Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Honourable Commissioner Kibiya for their kind gesture.

Kibiya appealed to philanthropists, NGOs, private and public organizations to support the State Government in reducing Poverty in the State.
