The Kano State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KASA) has urged the general public to refrain from making any payments related to signage and billboards to unauthorized individuals or agencies.
This call was made by the Director General of the agency, Comrade Kabiru Sai’du Dakata, during a courtesy visit by the Youth Progressive Association to his office.
Comrade Dakata emphasized that the agency was established by the government to ensure proper coordination and compliance in the payment of signage and advertisement revenue to the state.
He explained that the centralization of such payments is aimed at improving transparency and boosting the state’s internally generated revenue.
He further warned the public against making cash payments, noting that all transactions should be carried out through the government’s official Remita platform, in line with the new policy.
On his part, the leader of the Youth Progressive Association, Comrade Aliyu Lawan, congratulated the Director General on his appointment and pledged the association’s support.
He also called on the general public to cooperate fully with the agency to ensure the sustainable development of Kano State.
