Pharmacist Hasiya Abubakar Ladan, the State Officer In-charge of PCN Kano Office, who led the team, said the essence of the inspection is to generally assess the DMCSA with view to issue the Agency with Premises Registration Certificate.

She further added that the inspection is a preliminary one, noting that the main supervision is to be carried out by a high-powered technical team from the National head office of PCN in Abuja.

Praising the leadership of DMCSA for what she termed as “managing the organization very well,” Pharmacist Ladan expressed her satisfaction with the level of compliance by DMCSA, urging the Agency to implement recommendations given to them and complete the remaining finishing touches.

Receiving the delegation in his office, Pharmacist Gali Sule, the Director General of DMCSA, who personally conducted them around the warehouses and other facilities of the organization, said the agency was producing drugs in the recent past, but it suspended working and embarked on upgrading the Drug Manufacturing Unit as recommended by the PCN and National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), so that it would meet all the necessary requirements of these regulatory bodies.

The Director General then thanked the delegation for the visit, assuring them of total cooperation from the DMCSA
