About Two hundred small-scale women in Ungogo Local Government have received fifty thousand naira each as part of an empowerment program.

The ceremony, held at the Islamic Centre in the area, was attended by dignitaries, including Alhaji Tijjani Amiru Bilyaminu, Chairman of Ungogo Local Government.

Alhaji Tijjani Amiru Bilyaminu emphasized on the importance of empowering women in the society, commended Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankasso, national leader of the Kwankwasiiyya of NNPP, for initiating the program.

The Chairman of NNPP in the area, Alhaji Bilyaminu Musa urged the beneficiaries to utilize the capital wisely.

The state house of assembly Member representing Ungogo Hon Aminu Sa’adu Ungogo, represented by Special Adviser Sani Isma’ila assured that the government would continue to prioritize support for women’s small-scale enterprises.

The Chairman of CRC, Alhaji Shehu Shuaibu, and women leader Hajiya Binta Ibrahim, noted that the women had received training in various small-scale ventures.

 

Beneficiaries Umma Sani and Hajara Musa pledged to utilize the empowerment funds effectively and support Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The event was attended by Vice Chairman Alhaji Auwalu Isa, Director personal management Alhaji Munzali Alhassan, Secretary of the local administration, Dr Murtala Rijyar Zaki and all Councillors and Advisers.
