In a significant move to strengthen its support base, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), currently in power in Kano State, has welcomed 137 new supporters from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Gwarzo Local Government Area.

While welcoming the new supporters, the Secretary of the NNPP in Gwarzo Local Government, Alhaji Sama’ila Kayyu, emphasized that these new members are from the Lakwaya Ward, specifically the Gidan Guzuma polling unit.
Sama’ila Kayyu expressed optimism about the future, stating that the NNPP anticipates additional defections from the opposition party (APC) throughout Gwarzo Local Government.
The Chairman of Gwarzo Local Government, Dr. Mani Tsoho, who was represented at the ceremony by his Vice, Hon. Abdulmumin Garba Lakwaya, led the official welcoming of the new NNPP members.
Lakwaya encouraged the new members to support the Kano State government in implementing important development projects within the local government area.
The event was attended by the Council House Leader, Alhaji Ahmad Shehu Sabon Birni, along with other elected councilors and prominent political figures.
The event took place at the office of the Vice Chairman of Gwarzo Local Government, marking a notable step for the NNPP as it continues to expand its membership and influence in the area.
