The Chairman of Gwarzo Local Government, Dr. Mani Tsoho Gwarzo, has launched a distribution of free uniforms to primary school students in the Gwarzo Local Government Area.
In a press statement issued by the zonal information officer of Gwarzo LGA, Awwal Musa Yola.
This initiative aims to improve the quality of education and enhance learning outcomes for students in the region.
Chairman Gwarzo commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State for his commitment to education and pledged to provide free textbooks to all primary school students in the area.
He urged head teachers and staff to ensure the uniforms are distributed fairly and efficiently.
Responding the Education Secretary of the area who spook through Secretary SBMC Alhaji Aminu Adamu Gwarzo, expressed gratitude to the Kano State Government and the local government chairman for the initiative.
Aminu Adamu noted that the uniforms would be distributed across primary schools in the ten wards with a committee established to oversee the distribution process.
Speaking the District Head of Gwarzo and Barde Kerarriyar of Kano, Alhaji Shehu Kabiru Bayero, commended the state government for the initiative and urged parents to ensure they are washing the uniforms weekly and adopt the habit of proper hygiene for their pupils.
The event was attended by various stakeholders, including Director Personnel Management of the area, Local Government Secretary , Treasurer , Politicians,educators, CRC Chairman, Students Unions, Kano Proper among others.
