The Office of the elected Chairman of Gwarzo Local Government, Dr. Mani Tsoho PhD, today received a delegation of officials and engineers from the Kano State Ministry of Education on a project inspection visit.

The visit marked the formal introduction of a landmark educational project that will transform learning opportunities for the youth of Gwarzo and its environs.

His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the sum of ₦912,000,000 (Nine Hundred and Twelve Million Naira) for the conversion of the Vocational Training School located at Unguwar Riga, Gwarzo, into a Government Technical College.

This significant investment underscores the Governor’s unwavering commitment to education and human capital development across the state.

The project will include the construction of modern classrooms, fully furnished student hostels, state-of-the-art laboratories, and residential staff quarters.

These facilities will ensure a conducive learning and teaching environment, while also raising the standard of technical education in the region.

Speaking on the development, Dr. Mani Tsoho described the initiative as a milestone achievement that will not only benefit the people of Gwarzo but also strengthen Kano State’s position as a hub of educational excellence.

He further assured the public of the local government’s full cooperation to ensure timely execution and monitoring of the project.

This project forms part of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s broader vision to modernize the education sector, with a special focus on vocational and technical training.

By equipping young people with practical skills and knowledge, the government seeks to empower them to become self-reliant, innovative, and productive citizens who will drive the state’s socio-economic development for years to come.
