An Educationist and a Patriot Sharif Ahmad Sharif has called on Kano State Government to settle an outstanding payment of NCE program for Kano Teachers sponsored by former Kano Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s administration and abandoned by the Ganduje past administration.
Speaking with our correspondent on the situation, Sharif Ahmad Sharif said failure to pay by the Ganduje’s administration has denied beneficiaries of the programme at former Federal College of Education, Kano and that of FCE(Technical) Bichi yet to collect their certificates after completion of the studies while their counterparts who graduated at Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education Kumbotso and that of Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal studies have received their own payments.
Sharif Ahmad Sharif who commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for effecting promotion, teachers, renovation of schools and provision of teaching facilities urged the Government to establish a committee on retraining and re-orientation of teachers for better results.
He also called on wealthy individuals, professionals, parents and teachers to support the government commitments to the development of the education sector.
Sharif Ahmad Sharif then commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Commissioner for Education, Gwani Ali Haruna Makoda for their dedication to the development of humanity.
He however urged Kano State Senior Secondary schools Management Board and it’s counterpart of State Universal Basic Education Board to keep regular monitoring of the education activities for a fruitful result.
