In a brief ceremony held on Friday, February 14, 2025, Commandant Shafi’u Abdulmumini formally assumed duty as the newly posted State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kano command.

The event was witnessed by the Command’s management staff and a representative of NSCDC’s Zone 12 Zonal Commander.

Outgoing State Commandant, Comdt Mohammed Lawal Falala, fcna, handed over the mantle of leadership to Commandant Abdulmumini, thanking God for a successful tenure and urging officers and men to cooperate with the new leadership.

In his address, Commandant Abdulmumini solicited support and cooperation from the command’s management and personnel to achieve greater success.

He noted that Kano is his second homeN and pledged to vigorously pursue policies protecting critical national assets, infrastructure, lives, and property of Kano residents.
