The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has officially announced the closure of the collection of payment drafts for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
In a press release issued by the public relations officer Sulaiman Abdullahi Deideri.
According to the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, the deadline for payment deposits expired on Friday, 5th December 2025.
He noted that following the conclusion of the meeting with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) in Abuja last Thursday, there was no extension granted for the payment deadline.
Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa made the announcement during a meeting with all relevant stakeholders of the Board. He explained that the early closure became necessary due to new rules and regulations introduced by the Saudi Arabian authorities for the 2026 Hajj season.
The updated guidelines require stricter compliance and earlier completion of administrative processes to ensure smooth preparations for intending pilgrims.
The Director General further emphasized the Board’s commitment to ensuring that all registered pilgrims receive efficient services and comply fully with the international standards set for the pilgrimage.
In his remarks, the Chairman, Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, expressed appreciation to all stakeholders for their cooperation and urged intending pilgrims who have met the requirements to remain patient as the Board proceeds with the next stages of preparation.
